Monarch Solar

Globally, over one billion people are without access to electricity, with Sub-Saharan Africa encompassing 600 million alone. Homes are lit with kerosene and inefficient single use batteries. Governments aren’t willing to make the substantial initial investment needed to build traditional grid infrastructure. Monarch Solar aims to provide home based access to clean, renewable energy. The electricity can be applied far beyond light, scaling to even allow for refrigeration. With metered payments based on energy consumed, using existing mobile networks, Monarch Solar alleviates the need for large initial costs to the customer. Our modular technology allows systems to be easily upgraded in capacity, growing as the household grows financially, and allowing users to configure to their specific needs.
