Competition Schedule

March 30, 2017

    All fifteen ACC universities will send their chosen student or student team to compete in the ACC InVenture Prize.

  • ACC InVenture Prize Welcome Meeting4:45pm, TechSquare Research Building

  • Start of Preliminary Round5:15pm, TechSquare Research Building
    A quick pitch round where each ACC student or student team goes on stage before a panel of fifteen selected ACC-alumni judges and has two minutes, 45 seconds to pitch their invention, followed by seven minutes for questions and comments from the judges. Open only to competition participants, judges, and ACC selected representatives.
  • Game-X Event6:45pm
    Shuttles departing every 15-20 minutes from the Georgia Tech Hotel.
  • End of Preliminary Round8pm, TechSquare Research Building

  • Finalists Announcement at Game-X9pm, 275 Baker Street, Atlanta, 30313
    Networking event for all ACC student teams, representatives, and judges. Finalists of the ACC InVenture Prize will be announced and interviewed.

March 31, 2017

  • Breakfast8am, Georgia Tech Hotel Restaurant
    Representatives of the ACC universities will meet to discuss this year’s competition and the upcoming year’s event.
  • ACC Teams Media Session, 9:15am, TechSquare Research Building Banquet Hall
    ACC students/student teams will meet with members of the media.
  • Free Time11:30am
  • Lunch12pm, Georgia Tech Hotel Restaurant
  • Shuttles to Incubators12:30pm, shuttles to Atlanta Tech Village, Buckhead Flat Iron City, MidTown, TechSquare Labs
    All fifteen ACC university representatives and competing students will visit several co-working incubators and meet with members of the Atlanta start-up community.
  • Filming of ACC InVenture Prize Teaser2:30pm, Ferst Center for the Arts
  • Invention Studio Tour3:30pm, Georgia Tech Invention Studio
    ACC competitors and representatives receive a personalized tour of the Georgia Tech Invention Studio.
  • Student and Representatives Dinner4:30pm, Georgia Tech Hotel Restaurant
  • ACC InVenture Prize Finals8pm, Georgia Tech Ferst Center for the Arts, Theatre
    In this televised round, the inventors of the final five inventions will each give a presentation of their invention to a panel of expert judges before a live audience, followed by three minutes of Q&A.
  • Reception and Team Demonstrations9:15pm, Clough Commons Atrium, Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons (CULC)
    All fifteen ACC student teams present their innovations to the Atlanta community, venture capitalists, investors, and ACC alumni.
