Ashley Mengwasser is a six-time Emmy-winning lifestyle host, writer, and producer. She is best known as the quirky, daredevil co-host of Georgia Public Broadcasting's local travel series Georgia Traveler. Recently, Ashley was handpicked to host Lowe’s Home Improvement’s hilariously explosive YouTube series DIY-No-Mite, premiering in March 2018. Having watched wonderful hand-made creations blow up unnecessarily on DIY-No-Mite, she is happy to co-host The InVenture Prize, where inventions live to see the light of day.
Behind the camera, Ashley enjoys writing and producing enriching health and cultural content. From 2015-2016, she served as Writer, Co-Director, and Co-Executive Producer of the hour-long documentary Chinese Tea: Elixir of the Orient. Ashley won her first solo Emmy for the project in the writing category. Today, she shares useful tips and tricks for health and happiness on her blog Laughter’s What We’re After.
In 2016, Ashley expanded her professional title to include Emcee and Live Fundraiser for non-profit and community events. Since, she has led gala attendees in raising more than $150,000 to benefit organizations serving women and children. Her clients include Childspring International, Earth’s Angels, The Nurse Link, and BeLoved Atlanta.
A Buford, GA, native, Ashley acquired her passion for people and communicating their stories during undergraduate study at Agnes Scott College. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Agnes Scott in 2009, where she holds a B.A. in English Literature.
When she isn't hosting, writing, producing, or Instagramming (let’s be honest), she enjoys luxurious baths, lengthy naps, and quality time with her zany basset hound Rosie.
